Rustic Shiplap Bar Design Project

Are you looking to liven up some extra space in your home? Are you finally deciding to finish that basement bar you have long been dreaming about? Or maybe you are simply In need of some extra counter space? A rustic shiplap-style bar or island may be just the transformation your home needs! The appeal of shiplap isn’t leaving the design world anytime soon, and each day creative DIY-ers find new ways to incorporate the trend into their homes. Our new finished inspiration favorite: The Rustic Shiplap Bar in the color Silo.

The Rustic Shiplap Bar project is a bar faced entirely with rustic shiplap boards in the color Silo. The creators of this project hit the nail on the head with both design and color. One major benefit of shiplap, aside from the obvious attention-grabbing ability, is that it is durable and functional. Not only do you have an aesthetically appealing statement piece, but it is incredibly stable as well. We love the coat and purse hooks that the owners added to this bar. It’s those little details that matter as they give you the sense that you’re at the pub with friends, from the comfort of your own home.

The Silo color tone is undeniably successful in giving the new bar space a warm and inviting feel that will surely be difficult to pass up when you walk past it in your home. Silo looks great with a light color granite countertop as is pictured above. We love the pairing of the simplistic traditional bar stools. The seat color pops as it contrasts against the shiplap and accentuates the rustic vibe of the space. Need more communal space for when you are entertaining? These DIY-ers took their project a step further by customizing a barrel-style table and matching it to the rustic tone of their bar. Perfect for catching up with family and friends!
